Smith Set to Make Second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Start

Casey Smith’s second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start will come this weekend at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia.  The Austin, TX driver was selected by Niece Equipment to debut the team’s No. 45 truck entry in the Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions.

The Buda, TX based Niece Equipment is a world leader in the water truck industry and has tapped veteran NASCAR Elite Division driver, JR Norris, as crew chief.

Smith’s only other NCWTS start came earlier this year at Iowa Speedway with Green Light Racing, where he earned a 22nd-place finish.

“I’m very thankful for the opportunity that Al Niece is giving me to run Martinsville and Texas,” Smith said.  “I’m excited to be a part of this team that is starting up and I feel like we have very good equipment and I feel like we can be competitive.

The Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solution will go green at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 29 and can be watched lived on Fox Sports 1.
